Obidoximchlorid (trade name Toxogonin ® from Merck KGaA) is an antidote against poisons the type of phosphates and phosphonates. This can be for a chemical warfare agents such as sarin or used as a pesticide substances such as parathion (E 605). Obidoximchlorid acts as an acetylcholinesterase reactivator, if this enzyme is blocked by such acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.

Obidoximchlorid is administered by prior or during concomitant administration of atropine. For soldiers of the NATO example, auto-injectors for self-injection in the thigh are available containing 2 mg atropine and 220 mg Obidoximchlorid as well as auto-injectors with only 2 mg atropine.
