Object Management Group

The Object Management Group (OMG ) is a consortium founded in 1989, which is engaged in the development of standards for vendor-independent cross-system object-oriented programming. The OMG belonged to the founding eleven companies, including IBM, Apple and Sun, at. Joined Microsoft in September 2008, another major player in the software business of OMG. She now has over 800 members and developed internationally recognized standards. The headquarters are located in Needham, Massachusetts, and the second based in Austin, Texas.
