Objective Difference Grade

The Objective Difference Grade ( ODG ) is a measure for the assessment of sound quality.

It is a calculation based Pseudomaß for the evaluation of procedures that change the audio data, such as lossy audio data compression, as it is used in MP3 format. The ODG was in ITU Recommendation BS.1387 ( PEAQ ) defined and takes values ​​from 0 to -4, where 0 represents the best value and means that no quality impairment exists. A value of minus 4 there is absolute unacceptability.
