Oboe Concerto (Vaughan Williams)
The English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams wrote his Concerto for Oboe and Strings in A minor, for soloists Léon Goossens in 1944 The work with folk character consists of three movements. :
The concert was originally to be premiered at the Proms, but because you feared attacks by the V1 to London, the piece was premiered in Liverpool.
