Obolon CJSC

Obolon (Ukrainian / Russian Оболонь ) is a Ukrainian beverage company. Obolon is the second largest brewery in Ukraine.

History

The brewery was built 1980unter participation of Czech technicians in Kiev, Obolon Raion. Originally it was known as Kiev brewery No.3, in 1986 she was named " Obolon". 1992 Obolon was the first privatized enterprises in Ukraine.

Obolon also has a number of branches throughout Ukraine.

Products

Obolon has a share of about 26% of the Ukrainian beer market. His best-known beer brand is the Obolon Svitle ( Оболонь світле ) ( light beer ). Obolon is around 82 % of the largest exporter of Ukrainian beer. Most of it goes to Russia. About Mix the beer market can also be purchased in Germany. Overall, the beer is exported to 36 countries.

Since 2009, Obolon is working with the Bitburger Holding. Obolon now ranks under license fro the Bitburger beer for the Ukrainian market.
