Occipital lymph nodes

The occipital lymph nodes ( lymph nodes [ Nll. ] Occipital ) are a group of two to three lymph nodes at the back of the people above the insertion of the musculus semispinalis capitis. The catchment area ( tributary area ) are the occiput and the neck. The lymph is carried to the deep cervical lymph nodes.
