Octavia (play)

Octavia is the title of Roman drama. It is the younger Seneca attributed and is the only one has come down to us fabula praetexta ( drama with real historical content ). A Seneca's authorship is excluded from research in general. Shown is the repudiation of Octavia, daughter of the Roman Emperor Claudius, by Emperor Nero, her adoptive brother and husband. This spurned the wife in favor of his mistress Poppaea.
