Ōdate (Japanese大 馆 市, - shi) is a city located in Akita Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.
Geography
Ōdate located northeast of Akita and southwest of Aomori.
History
The city Ōdate was founded on April 3, 1951 from the former municipalities Ōdate and Shakauchi.
