Odense-Fjord
The Odense Fjord (Danish: Odense Fjord ) is a 13 km long fjord in the north of the Danish island of Funen. The total area of the fjord is approximately 63 km ².
Geography
The eponymous town of Odense Odense is connected via the channel with the promotion and via the latter to the Kattegat. The river flows near Odense Å Stige and Seden in the fjord.
In Odense Fjord lie next to other small islands approximately 133.7 -acre uninhabited island Vigelsø and about 21 acres inhabited island Torno.
The rather shallow fjord has a large catchment area of about 1060 km ².
The Odense Fjord is recognized as a wildlife reserve, and in particular part of an extensive 5060 acre bird sanctuary. For 13 small islands of access in the breeding season is prohibited.
