Odeonsplatz

The Odeon Square is a square in Munich's Old Town on the southern section of the Ludwig street. It is part of the axis Odeon Square - Ludwig Road - Victory Gate. Bears his name the place since 1827 after a concert hall, the Odeon, the Ludwig I. had built on the southwest side of the square.

Location

The Odeon site is located north of the historic old town, on the border between the districts of Altstadt- Lehel and Maxvorstadt. In the south of the residence street of Feldherrenhalle from Odeon place goes east and west from the Theatinerstraße. History

Every year, even the parade of costumes and shooting clubs to Oktoberfest via this route.
