Ödeshög

Ödeshög is a place ( tätort ) in the province of Östergötland County and the historic province of Östergötland. It is also the capital of the municipality of the same name.

Ödeshög located near the Vättern. In the resort are as sights of the old church Ödeshög, a homestead and the old restaurants around the market place. The two nearest major cities are 66 km away to the northeast and Jönköping Linköping 67 km to the southwest. The former Swedish national football team Klas Ingesson grew up in Ödeshög.

The finds from the Stone Age rock carvings that were made in the area of Ödeshög, point to an early settlement of the area. Likewise, ruins were discovered buildings of the Middle Ages.
