Odette Joyeux

Odette Joyeux ( born December 5, 1914 in Paris, † August 26 2000 in Grimaud ) was a French actress and writer.

As a young girl Odette Joyeux was trained as a dancer at the famous Paris Opera, but is then worked as a film actress and writer.

From 1935 - 1945 she is married to the famous French actor Pierre Brasseur, with whom she has the 1936 -born son Claude, who is also an accomplished actor.

1958 marries Odette Joyeux second husband, the cameraman and director Philippe Agostini.

Odette Joyeux published about a dozen books, but only a few in Germany of which are published. Greater attention, learns the autobiographical novel " Côté Jardin " (German title: "Ballet Fever"), in which the author describes his own experiences from her time as a ballet student of the Paris Opera and an impressive behind-the- scenes look at the hard, often misunderstood world of classical ballet granted. In 1966, the book is being filmed under the title " L'âge heureux " by Philippe Agostini and sent as " The Forbidden Door " in four parts on German television. In the atmospheric film Odette Joyeux itself plays the mother of the child's lead actress Delphine Desyeux.
