Odoardo Farnese, Hereditary Prince of Parma
ODOARDO Farnese ( born August 12, 1666 Colorno near Parma, the summer residence of the Farnese, † September 6, 1693 ) was the son and heir of the Duke Ranuccio II Farnese of Parma and Piacenza, but survived him. His mother was Isabella d' Este (1635-1666), second wife of Ranuccio, she died in childbed on 21 August 1666.
ODOARDO Farnese was married ( by proxy the wedding in Neuburg on the Danube was closed on 3 April 1690 in the cathedral at Parma until May 17, 1690) with Dorothea Sophie of the Palatinate- Neuburg ( born July 5, 1670 † 15 September 1748 ), a daughter of the Elector Philipp Wilhelm. In the three years of their marriage they had two children, a son Ignazio Alessandro (December 6, 1691), who died at 20 months († August 5, 1693 ), and a daughter, Elisabetta Farnese ( born October 25, 1692 † 1766 ), the 1714 King Philip V of Spain married and Parma and Piacenza brought as a dowry.
Odoardos widow married on December 8, 1695 his brother and heir, Francesco Farnese, who had in 1694 become the successor of his father.
