Oesterwurth
Oesterwurth is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein.
Geography
Geographical Location
The community is located between Wessel Buren and New Churches. Landscape of the site is dominated by agriculture and wind turbines. In the scattered settlement was located until its closure in the autumn of 2012 the amusement park " land and people ".
Community structure
The municipality consists of the villages Oesterwurth oats wiping, Popp Wurth, Jarre wipe Hödienwisch, Oken, and weirs.
History
In the district of oats wiper there is a Wurtenreihe, parts of which date from about the years 150 to 400. During archaeological excavations themselves as indigenous pottery found as a shard of terra siggilata from the Roman Empire. More Hofwurten date from the 12th century.
On January 1, 1975, the formerly independent communities oats wipe Popp Wurth, Jarre wipe Hödienwisch and weirs Oken were merged to form the new municipality of Easter Wurth.
Policy
Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Community WGOe has all nine seats in the municipal council.
Traffic
In the district Jarre wiping is a stop on the railway line Büsum Pagan branching in heath of the march train to Hamburg and Westerland.
