Of is a town and a district in north-eastern Turkey on the Black Sea. Of lies in the province of Trabzon, east of the provincial capital.

The region is rich in precipitation, forested, mountainous, and dominated by agriculture. Main product is tea. The town Of lies on the coast road (E 97) between Trabzon and Rize on a river created by Solaklı level. The next towns are Sürmene, 14 kilometers to the west, and İyidere, 10 kilometers to the east. To the south branches off a side road in a valley cut of the Pontic Mountains by Bayburt from (90 km).

Ophis ( Greek " serpent " ), derived from Of and has been proven as the name of the region and the river since the 2nd century AD. In the 17th century the inhabitants of the town and its environs had converted to Islam. They were later because of their Madrassah reputed to be a particularly dogmatic religious interpretation.

The present town was founded in the 19th century under the name Solaklı and later renamed.

With Ofspor the city has its own football club.
