Office of the Prime Minister (Thailand)

The Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand ( สำนัก นายกรัฐมนตรี, Office of the Prime Minister, OPM ) is the central executive body of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand, which is headed by a Minister. The Office supports the Prime Minister in his roles as head of government and chairman of the Cabinet. In this, the Office acts as a ministry in the Cabinet rank. It has existed since 1932.

Function

As a central executive body, the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand is responsible for the coordination and execution of the entire executive work of the Thai government. In particular, the Office supports the Prime Minister in the execution of his duties and assists in the formulation and pursuit of various policy fields.

The Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand is also a ministry to cabinet rank, and it supports the Cabinet itself and records its work. It resides in the complex of government buildings in Dusit ( Bangkok).
