Ogdensburg is a city in St. Lawrence County in the northern part of the U.S. state of New York with 12,364 inhabitants ( 2000 census ). It was named after the landowner Samuel Ogden.

The city lies along the St. Lawrence River on the border with Canada.

In Ogdensburg is also the only U.S. port on the St. Lawrence River, an international airport located south of the city center. The Ogdensburg -Prescott International Bridge connecting the United States with Canada.

Ogdensburg is the seat of the Diocese of Ogdensburg.
