Ohloh

Ohloh is a website dedicated to cataloging open source software projects. It covers basic information, such as project name, website, short description and license. Project managers can also announce access to the repository of the project. History

Ohloh was founded in 2004 by two former Microsoft managers employed by Jason Allen and Scott Collison in Bellevue, Washington. Other participants in the developer Robin Luckey heard.

On 28 May 2009 it was announced that Ohloh was acquired by SourceForge.

On September 30, 2010 Black Duck Software has bought the side of Geeknet ( the company behind SourceForge ).

The portal grew enormously in the past. It consisted in December 2007 or 99 977 people with 9,824 projects in 32 languages ​​and 58 documented open source licenses. In October 2009 there were already 399 334 people with 413 261 projects in 77 languages ​​and 253 open- source licenses.
