Oi (telecommunications)

Oi ( Telemar Norte Leste earlier ) is one of the largest telephone companies in Brazil, based in Rio de Janeiro.

The company is active in the telecommunications sector. In 2007 the company was renamed Oi, which in German means "hello".

In 2009, 79 % of the telecommunications company Brasil Telecom SA Add bought.

Oi, 2009, over 22.2 million fixed lines, 5.7 million mobile customers and 31.7 million wireless customers.
