Oisterwijk

Oisterwijk [o ː stəɾvɛik ] ( listen? / I ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant between Tilburg and 's- Hertogenbosch.

Oisterwijk is a top tourist attraction and is located in a wooded area with many small lakes in the vicinity of the nature reserve Kampina. Oisterwijk is the sister city of Dreieich.

Economy

A significant role in the industrialization of the city in the early 20th century played the leather industry. O.J. van der Aa was founded here in 1916 a leather factory. 1920, the operation of the Almi was purchased, the holding company of the Adler & Oppenheimer Group The work was dedicated to the production of calf leather and received in 1932 the title of " Royal " Leather Factory ( Koninklijke Lederfabriek te Oisterwijk ). After the German occupation of the Netherlands during the Second World War, the operation came under external management. The factory was established in 1966 at the Hagemeyer N.V. sold and renamed after a further acquisition in 1974 as Koninklijke Verenigde Lederfabriek te Oisterwijk NV. The company existed until 1996.

Sports

The local sports club Sport Vereniging Rooms Katholiek ( " Roman Catholic sports association " RKSV ) Taxandria is a child of the local Roman Catholic church, and especially for its football department known. The Sports Park is located in the southwest of the city, on the Moegestelseweg.
