Okilani Tinilau

Okilani Tinilau (born 2 January 1989) is a tuvaluischer athlete and football player. His special disciplines in athletics are the sprint and the long jump.

Career

Tinilau was in Beijing in 2008 at the first participation of his country in the Olympic Games a member of the three-man squad Tuvaluan. On 15 August 2008, he took up the lead in the 100 meters. He finished last, but improved with 11.48 seconds national national record over this distance.

The following year he represented his country at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin.

Tinilau also plays soccer for FC Manu Laeva and the Tuvalu national football team.
