Okinawa Islands

The Okinawa Islands (Japanese冲 縄 诸岛, Okinawa shotō ) are a group of islands belonging to Japan. The islands are geographically part of the Ryukyu Islands and politically a part of Okinawa Prefecture. The largest island of the group is the main island of Okinawa, Okinawa Honto.

The archipelago is located between 20 km away Amami Islands of Kagoshima Prefecture and 230 km away Sakishima Islands.
