Oksana Grishuk

Oksana Vladimirovna Grishchuk (Russian Оксана Владимировна Грищук, also Pasha Grishchuk, born March 17, 1972 in Odessa, Soviet Union) is a former Russian figure skater, which was launched in ice dancing for the Soviet Union, the United team and Russia.

Career

Oksana Grishchuk began at the age of four years still in Odessa with the figure skating. Her father, Vladimir Grishchuk was football player. Her mother, Lyudmila Rohbeck 's graduate business economist. His parents divorced when Oksana Grishchuk was four years old. Their first coach was Valentina Kasjanowa. At age ten she came to Moscow for the Sport Club Dynamo Moscow. In Moscow it was first coached by Yelena Alexandrova. With twelve years Grishchuk changed from single drive to ice dancing. In the period 1994-1998 Grishchuk and Platov won 20 contests in a row. They are the only ice dance, which was twice win gold at the Olympics. Grishchuk and Platov combined speed and sophisticated elements and showed their mastery of many different styles of dance.

After her competitive career ran Grishchuk and Platov together in various shows. Then she decided to become a partner exchange with their former rivals Maja Ussowa and Alexander Schulin. Nine years after the end of her career Platov and Oksana " Pasha " Grishchuk first emerged again on together in the annual Christmas show on the Red Square in Moscow. In 2008 they came together in Nagano to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her Olympic victory.

Oksana Grishchuk studied art at the University of Moscow and choreographer. She speaks Russian, English, German and Italian.

On 19 August 2002 Oksana Grishchuk became a mother. Your daughter's name is Skyler Grace. The child's father is her partner Jeff Carrillo. The family lives in Los Angeles, California. Grishchuk now works as a trainer.
