Oksana Slivenko

Oksana Nikolaevna Sliwenko, Russian Оксана Николаевна Сливенко, also Oxana Sliwenko ( born December 20, 1986 in Chekhov ) is a Russian weightlifter.

Life

Her parents, Nikolai Pavlovich Sliwenko and his wife Vera Ivanovna, they sent at the age of four years for gymnastics. However, with ten years Oksana recognized that she was not suitable to continue this sport. Therefore, they tried to develop sports in karate and swimming, with a great emphasis was placed on an intensive weight training. Sliwenko is since 2000 member of the Russian national team, trained since then under Vladimir Safonov, 2005 won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in the weight class up to 63 kg and in 2006 Junior World Champion in the category up to 69 kg.
