Okstindan ( Nynorsk ) or Okstindene ( Bokmål ) is a mountain range in the municipality of Hemnes in the Norwegian county of Nordland, near the Swedish border.
The Okstindan massif is located 30 km south of Mo i Rana. The massif is covered by glaciers Okstindbreen. The highest peaks are Oksskolten (1916 moh. ) Okshornet (1901 moh. ) Tvillingtindan (1824 moh. ) And Okstinden (1804 moh. ).
South of the mountain range lies the Røssvatnet. The glaciers and the mountain streams feed the river system in the Røssåga which the north-west Bosvik, a fjord arm of Ranfjords flows.
Common starting points for mountain tours are Leirskardalen the valley and Lake Kjennsvannet.
