Okushiri Island

Okushiri (Japanese奥 尻 岛, -tō ) is a Japanese island. Administratively it belongs to the prefecture of Hokkaido. On the island, the county is Okushiri with its only community Okushiri.

The island has an area of ​​142.75 km ² and a population of 3,510 (as of 31 December 2007). The highest elevation is the Kamui -yama (神威 山) with 584 m.

Name
