Ola Hansson

Ola Hansson ( born November 12, 1860 in Hönsinge ( Grönby ), Sweden, † September 26, 1925 in Büyükdere on the Bosphorus ) was a Swedish- German writer.

Life

In 1889 he married the German -Baltic author Laura Marholm. Together with her he left Sweden in 1890 to reach a roundabout route through France and Switzerland to Berlin, to settle there. Like his wife, he joins the Friedrichshagener circle of poets. By the end of his life he does not return to Sweden.

As a reason for his emigration the scathing criticism of his works Nocturne (1885 ) and the novella collection Sensitiva amorosa (1887 ) can be mentioned. The reduction of these central works Hansson feels as offensive and defamatory. 1888/89 he is confronted by mediation of Georg Brandes and August Strindberg, with the work of Friedrich Nietzsche, which occupied him until his death.
