Olathe is a suburb of Kansas City, part of the metropolitan Kansas City and the county seat ( county seat ) of the Johnson County, Kansas.

History

Olathe was founded at the beginning of the year 1857 by Dr. John T. Barton. Olathe was not the first city in the County, but the largest, thanks to a newly built railway. In the fifties, they built a highway from Kansas City to Olathe. Today, Olathe is the fastest growing city in the state of Kansas.
