Old Bazaar, Skopje

The Old Bazaar in Skopje ( Macedonian Stara skopska Čaršija Стара скопска чаршија; Albanian Carshia e Vjetër; Turkish Üsküp Çarşısı ) is an ancient trading and market district and a cultural- historical part and one of the most famous sights of the city. It is located in the area between the Stone Bridge ( Kamen Most) in the southwest and the bit Pazar, in today's market, in the northwest. The district is bounded by the rivers of the Vardar and the Seravas. According to the administrative division of the city, the bazaar is located on the territory of the municipalities Čair and Centar.

The first documented information for the existence of a commercial area in the room of the Old Bazaar dates from the 12th century.
