Old Catholic Church in Sweden and Denmark

The Old Catholic Church in Sweden and Denmark ( Gammalkatolska Kyrkan i Sverige or Gammelkatolsk Kirke i Danmark ) was built on the initiative of Rev. Sven -H. Jakobsson, who resigned from the Lutheran State Church of Sweden and in 1972 founded the first Old Catholic community in Malmö. 1977 Desiring the jurisdiction of the International Bishops' Conference of the Union of Utrecht of the Old Catholic Churches ( IBK ) was to insinuate upheld. In addition to the parishes in Malmö and Copenhagen municipalities exist in Gothenburg, Varberg, Karlstad, Umeå, Helsingborg and Landskrona.
