Ole Bremseth

Ole Bremseth ( born January 2, 1961) is a former Norwegian ski jumper. His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal in the team competition of the Nordic World Ski Championships 1982 in Oslo.

Career

Bremseth, who started for the club Hokksund IL, made ​​his international debut on December 30, 1979 at the first competition of the newly Ski Jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf. However, he was able to achieve an anterior placement either in this competition yet in the other three of the Four Hills Tournament 1979/80. After a year's break Bremseth came in February 1981 in Sapporo back in the World Cup and proved most convincing second behind Armin Kogler with his first podium. In the second jump he reached this position, this time behind Hans Wallner. But it remained for a year his last podium.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1982 in Oslo Bremseth won bronze in the individual on the normal hill and got together with Johan Sætre, Per Bergerud and Olav Hansson gold in the team event from the large hill. In 1982 Mörz Bremseth won all the jumping, except for the ski flying competitions in Planica. At the end he reached fifth place in the overall World Cup.

In the 1982/83 season he was unable to repeat the performance, and therefore withdrew in March 1983 for the time being from the World Cup back. In January 1986, Bremseth again came in Oberwiesenthal to a World Cup start. With a ninth place he left definitively from the professional sports.
