Oleg Popov

Oleg Konstantinovich Popov (Russian Олег Константинович Попов, scientific transliteration Oleg Popov Konstantinović; born July 31, 1930 in Moscow ) is a Russian clown and mime.

Life

Popov occurs in the costume of Russian Ivanushka, a figure that the German Hans corresponds approximately in luck: checkered sports cap, black Samtjäckchen, dark striped trousers, small sticks, red socks, front very pointed shoes and only a few make-up spots on the face. In 1955 he got his first engagement at the Moscow State Circus. Popov is a master acrobat and juggler. He lives since 1991 in the Franconian Egloff stone.

In 1952 he married Alexandra Oleg, a violinist of the circus orchestra. The marriage was Olga, his only child, out. While he appeared in Hamburg, his wife died in 1990 in Moscow their serious illness cancer. In 1991, he met the 32 years younger German Gabriela Lehmann and married her on September 1 in Breda (Netherlands).
