Oleksandr Zinchenko

Olexandr Zinchenko Olexijowytsch (Ukrainian Олександр Олексійович Зінченко, scientific transliteration Oleksandr Oleksijovyč Zincenko; born April 16, 1957 in Slawuta, Khmelnytskyi Oblast; † 9 June 2010) was a Ukrainian politician and deputy president of the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada. It was from January to September 2005 Secretary of State by President Yushchenko.

Career

Zinchenko studied from 1974 to 1979 at the University of Czernowitz physics and then worked as a lecturer at the Department aspirant and physics for theoretical physics. Since 1983 he has been increasingly active in student Komsomol and youth organizations; 1988-1991 in the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Central Committee of the Leninist- Communist youth organization of the Ukraine ( Ленинский Коммунистический Союз Молодёжи Украины ).

From 1989 to 1992 he studied at the Moscow Academy of Social Sciences Political Science and was also the contact person of Ukrainian youth organization to the Russian partner organizations.

Since December 1992 Zinchenko worked in several companies in senior positions; 1995-2002 in the Ukrainian Independent Television Corporation ( Українська незалежна ТВ - корпорація ), which operates, among others, the television station INTER. From 1996 to 2003 he was a member of the United Social Democratic Party of Ukraine ( SDPU (o)), since 1998 deputy as the first chairman. For this party, he was elected as a deputy from 1998 to 2002 ( Rank # 7 ) and again in 2003 ( Rank 3) in the Verkhovna Rada. He worked mainly in parliamentary committees on issues of mass media and information and freedom of speech and was founded in 1998 and again in 2002 /03 parliamentary leader of his party.

In the 2004 presidential campaign Viktor Yushchenko Zinchenko was campaign manager; from his post as Secretary of the President, he entered on September 5, 2005 Return surprisingly, associated with corruption charges against the government Tymoshenko.

Zinchenko was married and the father of two adult daughters.
