Olga Boznańska

Olga Boznańska ( born April 15, 1865 in Krakow, † October 26th 1940 in Paris) was a Polish painter.

Boznańska was born as the daughter of a railway engineer. She received lessons in drawing in Józef Siedlecki and Kazimierz Pochwalski and was a student of Adrian Baraniecki school for women. Between 1886 and 1890 she studied with Karl Kricheldorf and Wilhelm Dürr in Munich.

Olga Boznańska is best known for her portraits, still life and landscape paintings. In 1938 she was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta.
