Oliba I of Carcassonne ( * 790, † 837 ) was 821-837 a Count of Carcassonne from the family of Belloniden.

Origin and progeny

His father was Count Bello of Carcassonne.

He was married twice, first with a lady Ermentruda, later with Riquilda. He had three sons, but it is not secured, of which woman.

Life

After his older brother Guisclafred death he succeeded him as Count of Carcassonne, one of the then most powerful cities in the south of France.
