Oliver-Sven Buder

Oliver -Sven Buder ( born June 23, 1966 in Stone Heidel - Erlabrunn ) is a former German athlete who belonged to 2000 in the 1990s to the world's best Kugelstoßern. The highlights of his career were the World Athletics Championships in 1997 and 1999, where he won the silver medal each. Until 1990, he competed for the German Democratic Republic.

Oliver -Sven Buder grew up in Niederlungwitz ( Saxony). He began as a child with the Athletics, was discovered as a talent and for children and youth sports school in Karl- Marx-Stadt ( Chemnitz later ) sent.

He started in the GDR time for the SC Karl- Marx-Stadt (1990 renamed SC Chemnitz). After the end of the GDR, he moved to TV Wattenscheid ( Coach: Günther pride, Miroslav Jasinski ), 2001 MTV Ingolstadt ( Coach: Joachim Lipske ). In his playing days he was 2.00m tall and weighed 125 kg.

Oliver -Sven Buder began a mining engineering degree in 1986. After the end of the GDR, he broke it off. Later he started a bank clerk training and then moved to the industrial business. Oliver -Sven Buder is married. In 2003 he ended his athletics career after a long injury break.

For the America 's Cup in 2007, he joined the sport and starts as a grinder for the German campaign United Internet Team Germany in the sailing crew to Jesper Bank.
