Olivia Hussey

Olivia Hussey ( born Olivia Osuna, born April 17 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina ) is an Argentine- British actress who played the role of Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli's film version of Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet by 1968. For this role she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress.

Life

Hussey also played in the Canadian horror film Jessy - The stairs to the Death ( 1974) with which was directed by Bob Clark. In the broadcast as a television mini-series film Jesus of Nazareth (Jesus of Nazareth ), again directed by Zeffirelli, Hussey played in 1977 Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Her parents divorced when she was two years old. Osuna is the name of her father, Hussey of her mother, whom she adopted. At the age of seven she moved with her mother and her younger brother to England, where she went to drama school. In a play she was seen by Franco Zeffirelli, who finally gave her the role in Romeo and Juliet. From 1971 to 1978 she was with the actor Dean Paul Martin, son of Dean Martin, married, in 1987 in a plane crash came in 1978 with Paul Ryan 1980-1987 with Akira Fuse, a Japanese singer, and is currently ( 1991 ) married to the musician and actor David Glen Eisley. For the first three marriages Hussey's one child emerged. Today, she lives outside of Los Angeles.
