Olivier Jean

Olivier Jean ( born March 15, 1984 in Lachenaie ) is a Canadian Shorttracker.

Jean, who had started at age five with his sport, started already in January 2002 for the first time internationally at the Junior World Championships in Chuncheon. Although he reached there in two individual races the semi-finals and won silver in the relay, he was employed in the next few seasons only in national races. There, he scored including two wins at the Canadian Winter Games in 2003 and a triumph at the Alta Valtellina Trophy 2006. After these successes, the Canadian Association nominated him in October 2006 for the first time for the short track speed skating World Cup, where Jean straightaway Second over 500 meters and with the season was. Also in the next race, he reached another podium finishes, including two World Cup victories over 500 meters and with the team.
