Olja Ivanjicki

Olya Ivanjicki (* 1931 in Pančevo, † June 24, 2009 in Belgrade ) was a Yugoslav or Serbian painter.

Life

Olya ( Olga ) Ivanjicki, child of Russian immigrants, studied sculpture and painting until 1957 at Sreten Stojanović at the Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts. In 1959 she was with painters, architects, poets, philosophers and musicians such as Leonid Šejka, Milic od Mačve, Milovan vidak, Svetozar Samurović, Kosta Bradić, Siniša Vukovic founder of the avant-garde group " Mediala " which in the then-ruling Socialist cultural policy of Yugoslavia conflict came.

While abroad in the United States, Italy, France, Spain and England, she sat down in 1962 under a grant from the Ford Foundation in the United States with Pop Art apart, which is found in their later works. She was in Serbia as well-known painter of the 20th century. Her works are represented in several international collections; they had nearly 100 solo exhibitions worldwide. Her work has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including the " Sedmojulsku Award " and the " Vukova nagrada " for lifetime achievement.
