Olle Anderberg

Olle Anderberg (* September 13 1919 in Asmundtorp; † 28 September 2003 in Linköping ) was a Swedish wrestler.

Career

Olle Anderberg grew up in Landskrona. In 1931 he began wrestling and gymnastics. He was small and dainty. Since he achieved greater success in the youth field in wrestling, he soon decided for all the rings. He first started in the bantamweight (up to 56 kg body weight), now in the featherweight ( to 62 kg) and late in his career in the lightweight ( up to 67 kg body weight). He was what is now rare to find a rounder in two styles, Greco- Roman and free style. In Sweden, now starting for GAK Eskilstuna Olle was already at the beginning of the 1940s, the national elite. Until he was able to compete for international success, he had to wait until 1946 as a result of World War 2. Until 1954 he remained active in those years and won everything that could win a wrestler. He was Olympic, world and European champions. The greatest merits of his success, the Finnish coach of the Swedish national team wrestler Robert Oksa. In the late 1940s, the Turkish wrestler Gazanfer bilge, Mehmet octave merchandise & Nurettin Zafer its toughest rivals, where he failed a few times, while the Soviet Ringer Soloviev, Aram Jaltyrjan and S. Gabaraew lost to Olle in international championships.

Olla Anderberg was Sportlehere and worked in the 1950s for a few years as a wrestler coach in Iran. For his contributions to the sport wrestler he was taken in September 2009 in the FILA International Wrestling Hall of Fame.
