Ollie Hancock

Ollie Hancock ( born August 25, 1987 in Windsor, Berkshire ) is a British racing driver. He is the brother of the racer Sam Hancock.

Career

Hancock began his motor racing career at the age of eight years in karting, but due to financial problems took part only in five races. In 2003 he moved to Formula racing and competed in the Winter Series of the Classic Formula Ford 2000. Started in 2004 Hancock in the regular championship and was runner-up. Since he was able to attend any racing series as a racing driver from budget problems 2005, he took over a team in the British Formula Renault, the duties of a mechanic in order to improve his technical skills. 2006 Hancock returned into the cockpit and was again runner-up of the Classic Formula Ford 2000.

2007 joined Hancock in the BARC Formula Renault. He won a race and finished the championship in third place from. 2008 was followed by another season in the Formula Renault BARC, in the five races for Hancock decided. With 130 to 101 points he won against Johannes Seidlitz and won the championship. He then took part in the winter series of the British Formula Renault, finishing in tenth place.

After the death of Henry Surtees Hancock returned back yet during the season in motorsport, replacing his compatriot in the FIA ​​Formula 2 Championship. He eventually took part only in the season finale of the GT4 European Cup. With a win, he finished 15th in the championship.
