Olly Murs

Oliver Stanley " Olly " Murs ( born May 14, 1984 in Witham, Essex, England ) is a British pop singer. In his home country he was in 2009 by the sixth season of the talent show The X Factor is known in which he finished second behind Joe McElderry.

Life

In addition to his twin brother and his two- year-old sister is Murs one of three children of Vicky- Lynn and Peter Murs. He grew up in Witham and attended Notley High School where he was a striker in the football team at school. Later, he played semi- professionally for Witham Town. After finishing school, Murs worked in a call center.

Music

In 2009 he applied for the sixth season of the talent show The X Factor, which aired from August to December 2009 at the evening program of the British television channel ITV. Murs reached the final of the competition, but it lost to the 18 -year-old Joe McElderry.

The second single from the album was Army of Two. This could reach number 12 in the UK charts. Murs was already three times in the UK on tour. He also toured as support of One Direction by America and accompanied Robbie Williams in 2013 on its European tour. In October 2013 he went for the first time on solo tour in Germany.
