Olof-Palme-Platz

The Olof Palme -Platz is located in Berlin 's Tiergarten district of Mitte. He represents the intersection of the Kurfuerstenstrasse Budapest street and Nürnberger Straße

Through him the entrance to the aquarium and the Zoologischer Garten ( input Elephant ) is formed. On 1 March 1991, the hitherto unnamed place was the - dedicated to Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme - murdered in 1986. It provides with its spiral- shaped tapering Anlagenweg with fountains and benches a small recovery at this point - this very promising traffic - point dar.

Originally ran the Budapest street directly parallel to the border of the zoo with the (then not restored) Elephant and the Aquarium before being pivoted in the 1980s to form the present place. By 1925 the road land belonged to the Kurfürstendamm, before it was renamed in this section in Budapest street.
