Olubanke King-Akerele

Olubanke King - Akerele ( born May 11, 1946 in Liberia) is an internationally renowned Liberian politician. She was Minister of Economic Affairs of their country and from 2007 to 2010, Foreign Minister in the government of Johnson - Sirleaf.

Life

The native Liberian Olubanke King - Akerele is a direct descendant of the 16th Liberian President Charles DB King, she was born on May 11, 1946. She graduated ( Focus: Economics and Law ) at the University of Ibadan Nigeria and Columbia University in the United States. Then they took over many tasks in the service of the United Nations.

In the government of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf she first had the economic department held (Minister of Commerce and Industry ) and then dissolved in a cabinet reshuffle in the fall of 2007, the long-time Secretary of State George Wallace from.
