Olympia Academy

As Olympic Academy Albert Einstein, Maurice Solovine and Conrad Habicht called their evening meetings in Bern in 1901 to 1904.

The meeting came after Einstein had sought during his probationary period, at this office with a newspaper ad students. Then came forward the philosophy student Maurice Solovine. It came between the two for interesting discussions, which were continued; a little later attended the mathematician Conrad Habicht.

The meeting began with a dinner, followed by reading and discussion in this round of works on various subjects. Not only scientific papers were discussed, including literary and time- current issues were on the agenda.

Einstein, in his apartment, the meetings usually took place, was awarded the title of hawk " Albert Knights of coccyx, President of the Olympia Academy ". According to Einstein's own words, the Olympia Academy had encouraged his scientific career. Occasionally also took other acquaintances such as Paul Habicht and Lucien Chavan as well as Einstein's first wife, Mileva Marić, participated in the roundtable.

The meeting ended after Conrad Habicht and Maurice 1904 Solovine 1905 Bern left. The three interlocutors remained for life in friendly contact.
