Olympic Committee of Serbia

The Olympic Committee of Serbia ( Serbian Олимпијски Комитет Србије / Olimpijski Komitet Srbije ) is, both of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as well as by the Association of National Olympic Committees ( ANOC ), the European Olympic Committee ( EOC), the Association of the Balkan National Olympic committees ( ABNOC ), European Fair Play Movement ( EFPM ), European Non -Governmental Sports Organisation ( ENGSO ), the direct successor of the Olympic Committee of Yugoslavia ( JOK ) (until 3 April 2003) and the Olympic Committee of Serbia and Montenegro ( OKSCG ) (until 8 June 2006) treated. Chairman of the Committee is Ivan Ćurković.

History

On 10 Februarjul. / February 23 1910greg. was the Serbian Olympic Club ( Српски олимпијски Клуб ), he was a year later to the Central Olympic Club ( Централни олимпијски Клуб ) and on 4 Julijul. / July 17 1912greg. renamed the Olympic Committee of Serbia. During the congress, from 4 to July 17, 1912 the International Olympic Committee in Stockholm Olympic Committee of Serbia has been named as an IOC member. Major Svetomir Đukić was the founder of the Olympic Movement in Serbia and director of the Serbian Olympic Club. He also led the first delegation of athletes to the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912.
