History

In 1935 the World Championships for the first time went to Innsbruck -Igls. At the time, the route of the Roman road to the valley station of the Patscherkofelbahn. As the Olympic Winter Games was awarded 1964 Innsbruck, began in 1962 with the construction of the Olympic bobsled run Igls. There were built below the Patscherkofel two separate ice rinks made ​​of concrete. The bobsled track had a length of 1506 m and 13 curves.
