Olympiodorus the Elder

Olympiodorus the Elder was a late ancient philosopher. His teaching in Alexandria falls in the first half of the 5th century. It dealt mainly with the interpretation of the teachings of Aristotle. His most famous pupil was the Neoplatonist Proclus.

Olympiodorus the Elder is not to be confused with Olympiodorus the Younger.
