Omar Ali Saifuddien III

Omar Ali Saifuddin III. (* September 23, 1916, † September 7, 1986 in Bandar Seri Begawan ) was from 1950 to 1967 Sultan of Brunei.

Before Sir Ali Saifuddin III. succeeded his older dead brother Sir Ahmad Tajuddin as Sultan in 1950 took, he worked as a government official in various capacities. From 1947 he was a member of the State Council.

During his tenure as sultan he toured Europe several times, the last time in 1965. In 1967 he handed over the reign to his son, Hassanal Bolkiah.
