Omnidirectional antenna

Omnidirectional antennas, including omnidirectional, antennas are used for radiating high-frequency electromagnetic vibration. The term " omnidirectional " denotes the in all directions ( in the horizontal plane ) uniform radiation pattern of the antenna.

Typical omnidirectional whip antennas are of handheld radios, vertical dipoles, the Koaxialdipol and the ground plane antenna.

The omnidirectional characteristic is particularly important in mobile radio transmitters or receivers of advantage, such as car radio, taxi radio or walkie-talkies.
